The Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program (HTSM) is education that provides you the tools to do healing ministry--prayer, hands-on healing and anointing with healing oils. This spiritual healing education has spread nationally and internationally to those who want to learn hands-on healing from a Judeo-Christian perspective.
The deeper roots go back to prayer, the laying-on of hands and anointing with oil modeled by Jesus as a major part of his healing ministry. Healing actually fell out of Christianity over 500 years ago but is beginning to be looked at anew as many people turn to complementary forms of healthcare.
Who can benefit from your learning to be an instrument of healing? Family, friends, neighbors, fellow church members, children, teenagers, adults, the elderly, those in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, your community and not least of all, yourself.
Like the work of the early apostles and disciples, Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is spreading to churches, hospitals, hospices, massage schools, and retreat centers throughout the U.S. The program’s unique contribution is to frame prayer, energetic healing and anointing with essential oils within a Christian tradition and to teach it in churches and spiritual settings of all denominations.

Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry programs are developing in churches of many Christian denominations throughout the United States. these churches are discovering the healing ministry of Jesus through parish nursing programs, HTSM healing clinics sponsored by the churches, or by healing incorporated into the ministry or sacramental life of the church. Become Nationally Certified in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry
|
|
|
The Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Program has become an approved educational program by the Certification Board of Healing Touch. A sub-certification board has been established with Debra Reis RN, MSN, HNC, CHTP/I, HTSM-CP/I, CCA appointed as Chairperson and Margaret Leslie MS, CHTP/I, LMT, HTSM-CP/I, CCA as Vice-Chairperson. A reveiw committee of certified Healing Touch Spiritual Minstry practitioners was selected and are now in place. The certification review board answers directly to the Healing Touch Certification board.
There are 4 submission periods for applications to be considered for certification in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry: February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. Please click course information to the left and then click Certification Information for more details.

What Can HTSM Certification Mean for You?

Becoming a certified Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Practitioner will enable you to help others in their quest to reduce stress, manage pain, and improve their quality of life. Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry is not about "curing" but about helping others to recognize the Divine source of healing in their lives.
When you become certified in a field, you are telling the world that you have successfully completed a course of study and are now ready to share your knowledge and expertise to help others find balance in their lives. As certified practitioners, we do not diagnose or prescribe for anyone. Rather, we come from an ethical place of kindness and compassion for those who are seeking wholeness in their lives.
A national certification in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry may become in the future, the first step in educational reuirements to practice this healing work in churches, educational institutions or healthcare facilities. Practitioner Liability Insurance Now Available

Spiritual Healing --How Can We Recover It in Our Churches Today?
|
|
|
If we look closely at the ministry of the Early Christians we find they continued the work that Jesus had taught them. That is, when anyone was sick, they prayed, laid on hands and anointed with healing oil all who were sick in body and mind-and they were healed. There are lessons in that for us today if we are to recover the work of Christian healing. Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry starts with the Laying-On of Hands and has the goal of helping churches reclaim healing as the work of the church. When we combine this with prayer and with anointing we put the person is the best light for healing to occur whether it is physical, mental, emotional or spiritual healing.
Prayer, touching and anointing became common practice among the early Christian healers. But what exactly is happening when we extend our hands in faith to heal others? And what happens when we use a therapeutic or medicinal grade essential oil on our hands as we touch one another in faith? The healing touch from our hands is enhanced through the healing of the oils. Are we the souce of this healing? God is the source of all healing--we are but the instruments and the oils enhance the healing itself.
